Title: Stable generalized complex structures [pdf]
Abstract: Stable generalized complex structures are a subtype of generalized complex structures that is not too far from being symplectic: they are symplectic outside a complex divisor. In this talk I will introduce these structures and study their most basic properties including local forms, similarities and differences with symplectic structures. We will obtain topological and differential geometric obstructions to the existence of these structures and relate them to Lefschetz like fibrations in 4-d.
